Why aren’t more electric cars on the road?

Post by Bobby » Sat Nov 28, 2015 8:08 pm

We have heard for years that more people should be buying fuel efficient cars, even President Obama said he was going to push for electric cars and yet we still don’t see many on the roads or at dealerships.

This article in the New York Times A Car Dealers Won’t Sell suggest that it is the dealerships and sales people that don’t want the electric cars. They suggest that the cars are to hard to explain to buyers and as we know, they may require less maintenance and dealerships sure do love you bringing that car in for service. Heck, they make a killing on regular service if you follow their suggestions.

I could see having an electric car if you were only running right around town; bit taking a trip with one would be out of the question.

Do you think we will ever see a day when there are more electric cars on the road than gas cars?
